Health System Strengthening in Rwanda

A partnership between Partners In Health and the Rwanda Government began creating a model health district in 2005. From 2005 to 2010, the PIH catchment area of Kayonza/Kirehe Districsts observed the fastest drops in under-five mortality of any sub-national region in the world. Our analysis measures these changes in mortality rates as well as many other important health indicators, and presents specific mechanisms for improvements in the Health system.
